Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort Bishopton , Bishopton (Renfrewshire)

My stay at the hotel was overall very pleasant. The room was lovely and clean, and we even had a complimentary bottle of prosseco waiting for us. However, the air conditioner wasn't working, making the room very hot. The staff was excellent, friendly, and made our stay fantastic. The location was a bit tired and disappointing, especially with the unexpected closure of a restaurant due to heating and plumbing issues. The dining experience was average, with a limited selection for a 5-star hotel. Facilities were fine, though nothing exceptional.

The hotel was not ideally located as it wasn't in the main building and was right at the far end of the corridor near a road. The rooms were initially small and had issues like a dirty throw on the bed and a leaking window, but after requesting a change, we got a bigger room and bathroom. However, there were some maintenance issues with the door handle. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff throughout. The dining experience was satisfactory, with good options available, though there was a letdown with the promised birthday song at dinner. The location added to taxi costs but was nice and relaxing.
